Many astro-photographic enthusiasts had their eyes on the skies on Friday evening, including the Wade family, to witness a once in a lifetime celestial event.
Warren had great fun experimenting with photographs he took of the lunar eclipse and his five-year-old daughter, Kyra.

The equipment used for the eclipse shot was a Canon EOS 6D DSLR camera with an EF100-400mm MkII L IS lens, which was mounted on a Manfrotto MT190XPRO tripod.
A total of 17 shots were taken at around five minutes intervals, then stacked and edited.

The camera settings were adjusted slightly as the moon’s light began to dissipate during the first half of the lunar eclipse.
“The most difficult part was to explain to my daughter exactly how I was going to get the moon and put it on her lap, which created a lot of confusion and explaining!” Warren laughed.
