Fiercely independent Tejal is fired up for pageant

An animal lover, family orientated and fiercely independent, Tejal is inspired by the phrase, ‘She flies with her own wings.’

At only 18-years-old, Tejal Singh is one of the younger competitors in this year’s Miss India SA KZN regionals, but that isn’t something that’s scaring her.

In fact, Tejal is excited by the opportunity and is eager to meet new people and make new friends as well as reignite her passion for pageants. Tejal is no stranger to the pageant stage and has competed in them before when she was much younger.

Despite not being a part of them for so long, Tejal is still confident she can proudly represent her town of Glencoe and herself.

The matriculant also has big plans for the future and aims to study Business Economics once she leaves school. “I’m fascinated by how the economy works and all the factors that affect it. I want to know how we can improve ours as well.” An animal lover, family orientated and fiercely independent, Tejal is inspired by the phrase, ‘She flies with her own wings.’

“I was always brought up to be independent and not rely on others. You can achieve anything on your own.” Tejal also had sound advice for other girls from small towns who one day dream of entering big pageants.

“Always stay true to yourself and don’t compare yourself to others.”

Small in stature but with big dreams and a bigger heart, Tejal is definitely one to watch in this year’s pageant.
