Loskop maskandi artist aiming for music accolades
The album Induku, will give listeners a window to Mr Sithole's travels, which have taken him to Germany and Swaziland

Straight out of Loskop, Zwelihle Vincent Sithole is taking the entertainment industry by storm. The 39-year-old who grew up in the Kwavala area of Loskop is poised to launch his second maskandi (Zulu folk music) album entitled ‘Induku’.

Mr Sithole began singing and performing in 2005. His music started to gain popularity throughout the years and in 2014 he started a maskandi group called Izigi Zendoda.
He has also been nominated for a South African Traditional Music Award. Currently working in Johannesburg, the artist is intent on making a name for himself in the entertainment industry and has since appeared on popular television series.
His manager Senzo Zondo says that Mr Sithole has appeared on Isibaya as well as Uzalo and Imbewu. His music, too has been played on popular national radio stations like Ukhozi FM. The launch of the new album means exciting and challenging times ahead for the group.

“For the new album, we took his music to the highest level. I can say that this album shows our best side with new keys, people will have to wait to hear it for themselves,” said Mr Zondo.
He adds that in addition to producing good music, the group hopes to reach out to the youth as well as scoop as many awards as they can after the release of the new album. Induku will be released in September and will be available at local music stores, look out for it.
