The Relay will be celebrating its tenth anniversary this year and will be held from 10am on September 8 until 10am on September 9.

The venue is the Forderville Primary School athletic stadium. Kicking off the 24-hour Relay will be a prayer and official opening before survivors, caregivers and then the teams take to the track.

A massive tea party is also being planned from 10.30am; all are welcome and encouraged to bring a plate of eats to share. Thereafter an afternoon of entertainment waits before the Luminaria Ceremony at 7.30pm.

Relayers go the distance throughout the night, either walking in memory of a person who has died of cancer, someone who is a survivor or a loved one who they have lost.

On Sunday, after 24 hours of walking for some Relayers, a presentation ceremony concludes the event at 10am.
