A massive tea party is also being planned from 10.30am; all are welcome and encouraged to bring a plate of eats to share. Thereafter an afternoon of entertainment waits before the Luminaria Ceremony at 7.30pm.
Relayers go the distance throughout the night, either walking in memory of a person who has died of cancer, someone who is a survivor or a loved one who they have lost.
On Sunday, after 24 hours of walking for some Relayers, a presentation ceremony concludes the event at 10am.
