Some of Gauteng’s most reasonable suburbs

Big change in your life can be stressful, so don’t let property prices be part of the problem. After listing your property for sale in Newcastle, check out our list of some of the most reasonable suburbs in Gauteng before finding your new home.

After listing your property for sale in Newcastle and planning your move to Gauteng, you may be considering looking for the most reasonable property option for your new home. Bargains in the property market are hard to come by, but recent information from Private Property has revealed that you could still find a home for less than R1 million in Gauteng.

This will come as welcoming news, especially to those who are looking to buy for the first time or current homeowners that want to downgrade. If you are among those looking to snag a new place for under six figures during your move to Johannesburg, then be sure to check out the following suburbs.

Starting out in the north of Johannesburg, you will often be put off by the massive price tags found in areas like Sandton. However, Ferndale snuck onto the list with average house prices of R2000 short of R1 million.

You could also consider the likes of Northwold and Jackal Creek, two suburbs in the region between North Riding and Lanseria, both of which have a Median Asking Price of less than R1 million.

If you will be working on Johannesburg’s West Rand, then Roodepoort could be a good option for you. There are two suburbs in this area that have property options for under six figures, which are Witpoortjie and Radiokop. These areas are becoming highly popular due to the value for money and excellent amenities nearby.

Should you need to be located south of the city then consider Winchester Hills or Linmeyer. The former actually has the most reasonable pricing on the list, with an average price of just R850 000.

Another convenient location is Midrand, which is found between Johannesburg and Pretoria. There are three suburbs here that could cater for you, so check out Erand Gardens, Noordwyk and Halfway Gardens.
