Thousands of votes poured in for Estcourt born, Siphmandla Vilakazi’s, known by his stage name MAGHAS, song titled Shandis.

Ukhahlamba Community Radio held a competition last year for the Song of the Year and the fans have spoken.
Mr Vilakazi is a merging kwaito artist who has since relocated to Johannesburg. He released an extended play record of his music in May 2018.

He spends most of his time as an Uber driver. He developed interest in music in early 2000. During this time he followed local acts such as Zola 7, Kabelo and Trompies.
They were at the top of their careers; this motivated Mr Vilakazi and he also drew lots of inspiration from South Africans who used their musical content to changed lives and communities.
