Burst pipes disrupt water supply across Newcastle suburbs
Several Newcastle suburbs are facing water interruptions as municipal teams work to repair multiple burst pipes.
Several suburbs are experiencing water supply interruptions this morning due to at least four reported burst pipes.
Newcastle Municipality released an official statement this morning informing residents that they were aware of the burst pipes and that it was being attended to.
The following areas are currently affected:
- Pioneer Park
- Amiel Park
- Hutten Heights
- Sunnyridge
The reported burst pipes are located at Van Niekerk Street, Rider Haggard Street, and at the corner of Hunter and Victoria Streets.
“Our technical team is currently on site attending to the repairs; the estimated water restoration time will be communicated upon assessment of progress and site conditions,” they said.
They continued: “The municipality sincerely apologises for the inconvenience caused and appreciates the patience and understanding of all affected residents.”
