Empowering women – one kick at a time

Community support can go a long way in ensuring these young women continue to shine on the field and inspire others.

The Mokwallo Ladies Football Club, a rising force in women’s football, is making waves both on and off the field. Established in 2023, the club has quickly built a reputation for excellence, teamwork, and community empowerment — and is now appealing for much-needed sponsorship.

The club is home to a group of dynamic and dedicated female players aged 14 to 25 from Mokwallo. Competing in the Fezile Dabi Regional League, they currently hold the number one spot on the league table, ahead of their contenders such as Dome City Academy, Fast 11, and VSA.

Driven by a mission to uplift young women through sport, the Mokwallo Ladies Football Club aims to create a supportive environment where players can develop their soccer skills, build confidence, and serve as role models for future generations of female athletes.

Despite their success, the club is facing significant financial challenges. Operating without any formal funding, the team is calling on local businesses and supporters to assist through sponsorships or donations.
