Update: Recovery of 5 missing miners
Rrecovery efforts are continuing.

Recovery operations at the Du Toitspan Joint Shaft in Kimberley continue under strict safety controls and ongoing technical assessment.
To date, nearly 2,000 tonnes of material have been safely loaded and approximately 29,193 cubic metres of water have been pumped from the affected area. This work forms part of a carefully planned and methodical recovery process, with the safety of all personnel remaining the overriding priority.
While the Du Toitspan mine has been closed, recovery efforts are continuing, subject at all times to safety considerations and prevailing underground conditions. Progress remains incremental, and there is still work to be done before further access can be safely achieved.
