“I couldn’t believe it,” says Parys man after winning brand new Hyundai

For the Build It countrywide competition a winner was drawn in every region.

Concrete mix, a bag of cement and building sand made a man from Tumahole, Parys, one lucky guy today. Little did Paul Maqase know when he bought his building supplies from Pula Build-it in Parys, that he would be the South Rand region winner of a brand new Hyundai Grand i10.

With the competition that was launched in February, clients who bought for R500 or more from Build It, could enter for the countrywide draw held in all regions. The winners were drawn electronically.

Paul heard the good news today. Speaking to Parys Gazette, Paul said he has never won anything in his life before.

“When I heard the good news today, my heart started beating slowly. I couldn’t believe it,” says Paul.

Although he does not have a driving licence and has never owned a car before, his children have driving licences.

When asked who of the children will be the owner of the new car, Paul laughed and said – none of them. They will have to take turns driving it, but the car is his. he said.
