North West Bowls crown their league champions

North West Ladies Premier League winners are Lazuya Serfontein, Esmé Uys, Linda Fuhri and Magdel O’Donoghue. The North West bowls’ president, Jaco Nel, is on the right.

Not even the rainy weather on Sunday could curb the enthusiastic North West bowls players to up a superb display of proper league bowls at the Klerksdorp Bowls Club on the “Finals” day at Klerksdorp Bowling Club. The day ended in glory for Potchefstroom, with PCC claiming gold in the Men’s Premier league and the Potchefstroon Town Bowling Club clinching Gold for the Women’s First League. The host club, Klerksdorp Bowling Club, had to settle for the two silver medals in the Premier League.
