Local gymnast to participate in World Trampoline competition

The club is extremely proud of Gerhardt's outstanding achievement

Gerhardt van Niekerk from Parys 20 Four 7 Trampoline Club qualified to represent South Africa at the FIG Trampoline Gymnastics World Age Group competition in Birmingham in the UK, from 16 to 19 November 2023.

This competition is the most prestigious international event for the Junior Trampoline community.

Gerhardt is motivated and ready to work harder than ever to compete with the best of the best.
Star Mapeka, high-performance coach and former African champion, said he always dreamt of producing a professional gymnast and that his hard work had paid off.

“The club is extremely proud of Gerhardt’s outstanding achievement,” said club owner Charmain van Niekerk, wishing him all the best in representing the country.

Charmain said the life-changing opportunity to participate at the top level often comes with financial obligations.
Parys 20 Four 7 is looking for companies that offer athletic sponsorships to help this 13-year-old gymnast reach his goals.
Sponsors can contact Charmain van Nie-kerk on 082 820 1361
