The 10th birthday party for Koei Z Parys SPCA’s well-known fundraising dog, brought in almost R3 000 for animal welfare last weekend. A group of animal lovers, together with Amelia van Zyl, the fundraiser for the local SPCA, and Joan Ferreira, also from Parys SPCA, joined in the birthday celebration at the Dog and Fig Brewery on Saturday, 5 August.
Seven mini portraits from four different artists, as well as a painting by Phillip Steyn were auctioned off for the benefit of the SPCA. Gift vouchers from Kiki’s, Aurora and Spices on Breë to the value of over a R1 000 were awarded to the four guests Koei greeted upon entering the venue.
The SPCA would like to thank everybody who contributed and participated in making this event such a success.
