Local businesses open their hearts to centre’s need

This initiative again showed the care of a community for the most vulnerable among us.

Thanks to business owners in Parys, the Tumahole Selfhelp School for the Disabled is fenced once again.
Earlier, looters carried the centre’s stone wall away, piece by piece.
What was left of the wall fell after a storm. Efforts to raise money to rebuild the wall came to nought until Wiehan Sieberhagen of Trade Avail heard about the need.
The fencing was required for the safety of the 45 children at the school.

Wiehan sponsored palisades and, with the help of Themba and Kleynex Trading Solutions, the fencing was erected. Even the schoolchildren and personnel lent a helping hand to pick up the bricks of the collapsed stone wall so the palisades could be put up.

This initiative again showed the care of a community for the most vulnerable among us.
