Only a few weeks remain for South Africans to vote for their favourite casual restaurants to determine the 2016 Eat Out Mercedes-Benz Best Everyday Eateries. The deadline for posting online reviews and star ratings for consideration for this year’s accolades is
30 September 2016.

Open to all restaurants across the country, the awards have thirteen categories for eateries in each province: Best African Eatery, Best Asian Eatery, Best Bistro, Best Burger Eatery, Best Coffee Shop, Best Country-style Eatery, Best Indian Eatery, Best Italian Eatery, Best Seafood Eatery, Best Steakhouse, and three new categories, namely Best Food Truck, Best Tapas Eatery and Best Mexican Eatery.

Eat Out, South Africa’s best guide to the country’s best food, will recognise its readers’ favourite eateries with celebrations in Johannesburg and Cape Town during October.

Voting for your favourite restaurant is quick and easy. Go to https://www.eatout.co.za/write-review/ to review and give star ratings to the eateries you’ve visited recently. For each review posted, Eat Out will pledge a meal for a hungry child through Stop Hunger Now Southern Africa. One lucky reviewer can also win R1 000 for their review written before 30 September 2016.

Says Anelde Greeff, editor-in-chief of Eat Out, “We call on all South Africans to make the most of the time that remains until 30 September to post reviews of the great places they love to visit with family and friends. We look forward to celebrating these popular spots at the 2016 Eat Out Mercedes-Benz Best Everyday Eateries.”
