Tumahole police asks the assistance of the public to trace a person of interest

The Tumahole Family Violence, Child Protection, and Sexual Offenses Unit is requesting assistance from the public in tracing a person of interest depicted in the photo regarding a rape case.
The complainant alleges that on June 6, at about 04:00, he was at a tavern in Tumahole looking for his sister. He was approached by an unknown African male who alleged that he knew his sister’s whereabouts. The complainant then walked with the unknown male to find his sister. On the way,  the suspect forcefully kissed the complainant, overpowered him and raped him in an open veld, police spokesperson Sergeant Josephine Rani said.
The police is asking the public’s help in finding this man.
The Tumahole Family Violence, Child Protection, and Sexual Offenses Unit requests that anyone who may know or recognize the person depicted in the photo to contact Detective Sergeant Nombulelo Sejane on 082 049 5208 or Crime Stop on 08600 1011.
