An enjoyable and successful business network opportunity has once again been held last week, attended by a diverse spectrum of business people from Parys and Tumahole. For this month’s get together guests were treated to the outstanding hospitality and excellent supper served at Doringbos Lodge and Venue just outside Parys on the R53. Leading the Business Network Meeting as usual every first Wednesday of the month, was Angelique Kleynhans, sparkling as MC, to ensure an enjoyable evening for all with the opportunity to meet and network with business owners and re- presentatives.
Those present learned more about the remarkable and amazing work done with the Rise ‘n Shine Community Foundation’s relief program bringing much needed water to the community.
A project that not only makes a difference to the community, but contributes to building a better Ngwathe, getting people to work together with the sole purpose of helping those in need. For this programme, Fani Tekani and his team, needs the support of the community.

Sandra Uys then gave more information on the Rotary Family Health Day to be held on 23 September at the Dutch Reformed Church in Parys. This will be a family day where Rotary will be joining hands with the SA National Blood Service for a blood drive. Blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar level testing, dental examinations, eye test screening and blood type tests will all be done for free.
During the day there will be food stalls, a lot to do for the kids, advise on fitness and training, first aid demonstrations, information on the PANDA Mental health app and more about Prolab therapy. To top it all there will be a Worsbraai in celebration of National Braaidag. Don’t miss out on 23 September 09:00 till 15:00.

For those wondering what is happening at Parys’ well-known ‘hangbrug’, Mike and Stephanie Fourie gave first hand information on the enormous and outstanding project launhed by Stephanie, followed by Angellique telling more about Parys Tourism Radio’s new studio on the Parys Golf & Country Estate.
