Candles lit for those with cancer
About 200 community members supported the initiative.

Be there for each other, support one another, and care for each other.
This was the message from Sandra Uys, president of Rotary Parys, on Friday evening when around 200 people gathered at the Parys Golf & Country Estate to light their candles for those fighting cancer, those who have overcome it, and those who have lost their battle with the disease. This also includes family and friends affected by cancer.
The event not only conveyed a message of hope and unity but also brought the community together in solidarity against cancer.

The beautiful initiative by Rotary Parys received widespread support and was born from the desire to take meaningful action—to reach out, but also to serve as a symbol of hope. This was visibly reflected in the twinkling lights seen along the walking trail at the golf estate that evening.
