Be part of a Guinness World Record at Rocking the Vaal
Rocking the Vaal 2026 is not just an event - it is an opportunity to be part of history.
Only a few more days then thousands of South Africans will have the opportunity not just to attend a festival, but to become part of a Guinness World Record attempt as Rocking the Vaal 2026 takes place on Saturday, 11 April at Emerald Resort & Casino.
The festival, which has grown into one of the Vaal region’s largest community events, invites visitors to actively participate in two new record attempts — including an attempt to make the most pancakes ever, as well as an impressive 3,000 kg pot of Chilli Con Carne.
What sets Rocking the Vaal apart is that visitors are not just spectators, but participants. Thousands of people will have the chance to stand together, prepare food together and be part of a shared moment that goes beyond entertainment.

The event builds on a highly successful 2025, during which the festival set three Guinness World Records, including the largest pot of pap (2,334 kg), a three-kilometre serving of kebab meat, and the most people breaking bread simultaneously. These achievements attracted international attention and directly benefited the Vaal community.
In addition to the record attempts, the festival features a strong music line-up with some of South Africa’s most popular artists, including Kurt Darren, Karlien van Jaarsveld, Demi Lee Moore, Heuwels Fantasties, Refentse and many more performing on one stage.
Organisers say the focus remains simple: bringing people together through shared experiences.
Tickets are selling fast. Visitors who want to be part of the record attempts and the overall experience are encouraged to plan ahead.
Rocking the Vaal 2026 is not just an event – it is an opportunity to be part of history.
