SS Paki mourns the death of beloved teacher

The memorial service is today at 13:30 at the SS Paki High School Hall.

The South African Democratic Teachers Union (SADTU) described the death of Mr Nthabiseng Mareletsa, an educator at SS Paki High School and a dedicated member of SADTU, as a great loss to both the school and the SADTU structure, his colleagues, learners, and the community at large.
Mareletsa passed away on April 25 at the age of 53.


SADTU Site Stewart and Secretary described Mareletsa as a committed and hardworking educator who served the school community with passion, professionalism, and integrity. “His contribution to education and his involvement in union activities reflected his dedication not only to his learners but also to the broader mission of advancing the rights and welfare of educators.”

Mareletsa will be remembered for his kindness, resilience, and the positive impact he made in the lives of those he taught and worked with.


A memorial service for Mareletsa will be held on April 30, at 13:30 at the school hall. The funeral service is on May 2 at 07:30 at the SS Paki High School Hall.
