HTS Potch tennis player striving for winners
Presley Bogatsu, who is currently in grade 9, started her tennis journey with her current tennis coach, Japie Dry, when she was in grade 6 in Promosa Primary - she hopes that she can inspire others to take up the game.

HTS Potchefstroom’s upcoming tennis player, Presley Bogatsu, recently obtained her North West Colours and represented her province with flying colours at under-15 level.
She participated with Marissa de Wet of Ferdies in the doubles of the North West Junior Doubles Tournament and brought home a medal.
Bogatsu, who is currently in grade 9, started her tennis journey with her current tennis coach, Japie Dry, when she was in grade 6 in Promosa Primary. She practices at the Park Tennis Club and according to her coach she has improved immensely I nthe past three years.
“I was deciding which sports to take and tennis seemed like a great option. I also saw Serena Williams playing tennis on television and that motivated me even further. I am really enjoying my tennis and I am glad that I made the provincial team,” states Bogatsu.
Thus young tennis player feels that her serve is one of the strongest aspects of her game and is something she enjoys. She also enjoys the constant movement of playing tennis, which has an added bonus of keeping her fit.
“I run quite a lot as well to keep me in shape and I like doing athletics,” adds Bogatsu, whose tennis hero is American superstar, Coco Gauff.
