Mooirivier Beskerming with the help of their CCTV off-site monitoring team, nabbed a suspected cable thief on Tuesday November 19th.

“On November 18 we received information that there is suspects opening manholes and stealing cables out if it. A description of the vehicle was obtained and on Tuesday November 19 at around 9:20, our CCTV off-site monitoring team spotted the suspects on the corners of Borcherd and Thabo Mbeki Street. Reaction was dispatched and apprehended the driver. Other, suspected, stolen items were also found in the vehicle. The SAPS arrested the suspect and confiscated the vehicle for further investigation,” the security company said in a statement.
