Low reservoir levels cause water disruptions

The water disruptions have been an issue since, Monday, 27 January. 

Water disruptions in of high lying areas, particularly Extension 11 is due to low reservoir levels.

According to a statement by the municipality, water levels at the Eersterandjies reservoirs are very low, which has caused the disruption in water supply.

“While working to raise water levels, the municipality will continue to deliver water by tankers as a temporary measure,” the statement from the municipality reads.

The water disruptions have been an issue since, Monday, 27 January.

According to Jeanette Tshite, municipal spokesperson, the situation has not changed.
