BirdLife Wesvaal to host 10th club meeting

We invite members to join the management team and contribute their knowledge and expertise to our bird club.

Club members and friends are warmly invited to the 10th BirdLife Wesvaal club meeting on November 6 at 18:00 at the Elgro Hotel in Potchefstroom.

“2025 has been an exciting year for BirdLife Wesvaal, and we’re going to close it off in good spirit and friendship,” said Pieter Labuschagne, chairperson for BirdLife Wesvaal.

“If you haven’t yet done so, please confirm your attendance so that we can make the necessary arrangements. This meeting will also serve as the Annual General Meeting (AGM), where feedback on the year’s activities will be shared. The election of committee members, as well as two vacant portfolio positions, will also be on the agenda.”

“We invite members to join the management team and contribute their knowledge and expertise to our bird club — BirdLife Wesvaal needs you! Please send your nominations and names to Lawren Oelofse, our secretary. Our guest speaker for the evening is John Kinghorn, Avitourism Project Manager at BirdLife South Africa, with the topic: Oxpeckers to Honeyguides: Strange and Surprising Lessons We Can Learn from Birds. Come and enjoy this fascinating presentation by a well-known and knowledgeable bird expert from Southern Africa. We look forward to welcoming you.”
