SANCA Kick a habit week kicks off

The South African National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (SANCA) is launching a campaign from 24 June -30 June.

The South African National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (SANCA) is launching a campaign from 24 June -30 June. With 26 June being International drug awareness day.

SANCA is challenging people to ‘kick a habit’ for this week, whether it is smoking, sugar, coffee or the all important cell phone. The purpose of this campaign is to make people aware that it is not so easy to break a habit. Those who accept the challenge will develop an insight into how hard it is for those who struggle with alcohol and drug addiction.

Those who accept the challenge are invited to send pictures and write a story about how they experienced the journey of getting rid of their habit. These photos and stories will be featured on the Potchefstroom Herald website.

Please send all stories and photos to dustin.wetdewich@media24.com
