Last week, three rape cases, one of which involved a baby, were reported in Ikageng within just four days, according to the Ikageng police.
Const. Kelebogile Trom, Ikageng SAPS spokesperson says a 21-year-old woman was raped in Ikageng in the early hours of last Monday morning. The suspect is allegedly one of four of her male friends who were with her earlier that morning.
In the afternoon of the same day, a report came in of a baby who had been raped at the new stands in Sarafina. She could not reveal the age of the baby but said the 28-year-old suspect has since been arrested.
Last Thursday, a 28-year-old woman was raped and robbed of her cell phone.
‘The victim says she was with her boyfriend when two men chased after them in the open veld between Sarafina and Greenfield. No one has been arrested as yet,’ reported Trom.
