There are still vacant posts at the NW405 municipality, according to the council spokesperson, Willie Maphosa.
He says the last official figures for vacant posts during the wrapping up of the amalgamation process stood at 154 and 66 vacant posts for the erstwhile municipalities of Tlokwe and Ventersdorp respectively.
‘With the newly drawn organisational structure, the number of vacant posts may change,’ he said.
‘Following the adoption of the organisational structure for the new municipality, a process is currently underway to place existing personnel (those who are currently within or were already in full-time employment of either Tlokwe or Ventersdorp municipalities) according to the new structure,’ he said.
Maphosa says the municipality is unable to disclose the exact figure relating to vacant posts pending the completion of this process.
He could not shed light on which of the departments still have vacancies.
