ANC in Bokone Bophirima shocked by yet another plot to kill Mahumapelo

The African National Congress (ANC) Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) in Bokone Bophirima is shocked and disturbed by the current plot to permanently silence our provincial chairperson, Cde Supra Mahumapelo.

The African National Congress (ANC) Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) in Bokone Bophirima is shocked and disturbed by the current plot to permanently silence their provincial chairperson, Cde Supra Mahumapelo.

‘It has come to our attention that this plot involves hiring hit men who have already been paid a large sum of money and were apparently promised the balance once they have assassinated Cde Supra,’ says Suzan Dantjie, acting ANC provincial secretary.

‘We commend the provincial chairperson for opening a conspiracy to commit murder case at Mahikeng police station. This is but one of several attempts at killing our provincial chairperson.

‘We urge our law enforcement agencies to speed up their investigations and apprehend all conspirators of this plan and keep our provincial chairperson safe.

‘The ANC PEC also expressed appreciation for the briefing it received from the provincial chairperson on current developments in the province and the broader engagements with the national leadership.
‘The PEC reiterates its position that it supports its provincial chairperson in his ANC and government job.
‘The PEC also noted with concern that whilst we support unity, it is disappointing for Luthuli House to embrace the so-called Revolutionary Council, which has pronounced to all that its solution to what makes them unhappy is anarchy, disorder, looting and general lawlessness that they seek to impose on the society. The ANC PEC will consult structures of the ANC in the province on how to finally confront and defeat such actors in a political choreography aimed at misleading the society,’ she said.
