Two children discovered the decomposing body of a woman in the bushes of Mountain View, Ikageng on Monday night.
According to Sgt Kelebogile Trom, the Ikageng police spokesperson, the police are investigating a murder case after an African woman aged between 25 and 40 was found with multiple stab wounds.
She says a community member called the police to the scene of the crime at about 19:50. ‘He told them about his children’s gruesome discovery and took them to the bush. There, they saw the decomposed body of an unknown woman lying in a prone position with multiple stab wounds. She was light in complexion and unrecognisable because of the advanced state of decay,’ said Trom.
Trom added that the police had also found a lot of clothing and a towel with her. ‘She may have been a Chubby Chick employee,’ Trom said.
