One brother’s murder charge withdrawn while the other still in custody.

One of the two brothers (30- and 38 years old suspects) arrested for the alleged murder of Mapisto Natasha Georgina Mosiane (26), has been set free.

One of the two brothers (30- and 38 years old suspects) arrested for the alleged murder of Mapisto Natasha Georgina Mosiane (26), has been set free.

Earlier today, Thobego Gabriel Mosiane (30) and Richard Motsetse Mosiane (38) appeared in the Potchefstroom Magistrate’s Court after they were arrested on Monday (21 October) evening. The police discovered the body of Mapisto in the back of the boot of the car they were travelling in.

The two were charged with murder and defeating the ends of justice. However, according to Colonel Adéle Myburgh, Provinical Police spokesperson, the charges against Thobego have been withdrawn.

According to the Post-mortem examinations, Mapitso was killed on Sunday (20 October) and he incurred multiple injuries on her body.

The case has been postponed to 1 November for bail application.
