The municipal office in Wolmarans street was evacuated earlier today as protestors caused havoc. Stones were thrown at the building, windows were broken and a palisade fence was destroyed. The protestors, most of who are from extension 6 and 12 were upset about the lack of service delivery in their respective areas.

Parts of the N12 that go through the city were closed down by the protestors. Traffic in and out of Potchefstroom has been heavily affected by the road closures. The police and traffic officials are on the scene.
