A 38-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were arrested yesterday (13 May) near Mohadin for malicious damage to property.
According to Sgt Kelebogile Trom, police spokesperson, MEG Security members, escorted by Ikageng police, went to Ikageng to stop some community members from illegally erecting shacks at a squatter camp.
“Some community members got violent and pelted stones at the the Police and MEG Security,” said Trom.
As a result, the back window of a MEG security vehicle was shattered, and the top of the vehicle was dented.
Investigations are underway.
