The mainline water pipe that runs through Greenfields has burst.
According to William Maphosa, residents living in and around Greenfields may not have had running water last night, or this morning. He assures residents that their Technical services team is at work to attend to the emergency.
“However, the municipality is organizing a tanker to ferry portable water to the affected areas. We regret the inconvenience to the residents and are doing all that we can to return the situation to normalcy,” Maphosa said in a statement.
