The main municipality complex, at the Dan Tloome Building, has been temporarily closed following a confirmed case of Covid-19.

According to William Maphosa, municipal spokesperson, one of their personnel tested positive and has been placed in quarantine.

The facility is closed today, 9 July for decontamination. The offices will be reopened on Friday, 10 July.

The other municipal facilities, like the rates hall in Ikageng, Promosa, and Ventersdorp are operational. So, ratepayers who would like to do walk-ins for their accounts can go to those offices.

“Although we deeply regret the inconvenience caused, the safety and security of our clients will always remain at a premium,” Maphosa concluded.
