J.B. Marks Water Laboratory has been temporarily closed after an official tested positive for Covid-19.
According to William Maphosa, municipal spokesperson, the facility will remain closed as it will be disinfected. It will re-open on Friday, 17 July.
“As a result of this occurrence, the daily compliance monitoring undertaken at the laboratory will remain suspended until the facility reopens on Friday. Operational monitoring at our treatment facilities will continue as usual, however,” said Maphosa.
The municipality regrets the disruption caused but it’s doing all it can to return to business as usual, as soon as possible.
