The Tsa Ikageng Leadership Programme joined hands with B.A. Seobi Secondary School’s environmental club by carrying out a cleaning campaign to celebrate Mandela Day on 18 July. The cleaning campaign took place at Keotshepile Primary School, in Extension 7.
“The Mandela Day Campaign message encourages us to use 67 minutes of our time to support a chosen charity or serve in their local community,” said Kagiso Lerefolo, the director of Tsa Ikageng Leadership Programme.
The organisation also donated cloth face masks, dust masks, refuse bags and gardening gloves to the learners of the club.
“No matter how small your actions are, Mandela Day is about changing the world for the better, just as Nelson Mandela did every day,” said Kagiso.
