Dangerous hole has residents worried

"The Municipality is aware of the situation but nothing has been done yet."

The residents in Sarafina location in Potchefstroom says that they are very disappointed at the municipality has not done anything about the hole near Sarafina Taxi Rank. Even after two young boys drowned in the hole in two separate incidents.

“We do understand that the has not completed what they have started, however the municipality is aware of the situation but nothing has been done,” says Tshepo Chempe, a concerned resident. He said that it might sound like a minor issue, but he foresees more trouble and loss of lives caused by the hole.

“Two lives have already been lost,  we plead to the Municipality to take the issue seriously and act before it’s too late,” he says.

The Herald asked the municipality for comment but received nothing by the time of publication.
