North West Cricket present jerseys to various stakeholders

"We as the Board of North West Cricket want to thank the office of the MEC of Arts, Culture, Sports & Recreation and JB Marks Municipality for their support of North West Cricket and the province for the 2021/22 season.

The NWC president, Mr Tebogo Motlhabane, hosted an event to celebrate the partnership between the stakeholders during the inaugural cricket 2021/22 season.

This season saw NWC compete as a full professional cricket entity in the newly-restructured CSA domestic cricket structure, Division 1.

The guests from the office of the MEC of Arts, Culture, Sports and Recreation, and J.B. Marks Municipality were hosted in the Presidential suite on Sunday, 3 April. They were there to support the NW Dragons against the Imperial Lions for a spot in the final of the CSA One-Day Cup.

Unfortunately, the match was called off due to a wet outfield without a ball being bowled. The rain shattered the hopes of the NW Dragons making it to the CSA One-Day Cup final, which happened on Wedenesday, 6 April.

Motlhabane handed over NW Dragons replica shirts to the guests as a thank you gesture for supporting North West Cricket and the NW Dragons.

“We as the Board of North West Cricket want to thank the office of the MEC of Arts, Culture, Sports & Recreation and JB Marks Municipality for their support of North West Cricket and the province for the 2021/22 season. We look forward to working together to grow cricket in the province. We also extend our appreciation to J.B. Marks Municipality for their support in terms of the naming rights to our stadium, the J.B. Marks Oval.” said Motlhabane.
