Water shortage due to burst pipe

The municipality would like to bring to the attention of residents that areas such as Baillie Park, Van der Hoff Park, Grimbeek Park, Mooivallei Park, Vyfhoek Mall, Tuscany Ridge and certain parts of the town experienced a huge pipe burst on the waterline from Lakeside Water Treatment Plant to Vfyhoek Reservoir. That has led to a challenge of low water pressure or no water at all in those areas.

” The municipal officials are working around the particular area of the lakeside treatment plant to also perform maintenance,” Acting communication manager, Jeanette Tshite confirmed. Residents are therefore advised to use water sparingly during this period.
