Build It Netball tournament a big success on Heritage Day

"I believe in development in sport that makes a change in our communities. We introduced netball now and it was a big success."

Local young netball players had the opportunity to take part in a Build It Netball tournament at Stilfontein and Khuma on Saturday 24 September.

Eight teams took part in this tournament where there were A and B divisions.

The organiser of the event, Oupa Mothibedi stated that the community was really excited at the event and the opportunities that were given to the netball players.

“I believe in development in sport that makes a change in our communities. We introduced netball now and it was a big success. I want to thank the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture and their partnership with Build It. I also want to thank Build It who believes in development. Without their input the tournament would not have been such a success,” he added.

Tigane Milano was also the winners of the u.13 Build It tournament that was hosted at the Alabama Stadium in Klerksdorp on 10 September.
