Wife suggests in-laws stay in a hotel after they make complaints

A woman's in-laws complained about a bedroom noise during their stay in her home, so she suggested they stay in a hotel.

A woman’s in-laws complained about a bedroom noise during their stay in her home, so she suggested they stay in a hotel.

On Reddit, the woman explained that she would pay for them to stay in a hotel nearby so they wouldn’t have to deal with noise, but the in-laws weren’t impressed.

She explained that her husband and she recently purchased a second home near her partner’s workplace and that this caused issues as her in-laws visited more frequently.

“They said it’s the perfect excuse to take a vacation and to put in some extra quality time with us. The thought of hosting them for a week is not my idea of a good time,” she said.

She went on to say she has come to enjoy her second home and being away from others with her husband much more.

“Being alone with my husband without having to hear noises from other people, or worry we’re making too much noise has been so nice,” she said.

However, things did not go well as her in-laws overheard some intimate moments when they came to stay.

“He [the husband] ran out to get us all breakfast and my mother-in-law pulled me aside and let me know she could hear mine and my husband’s ‘intimate moments’ the night before and requested we keep it down,”

“I told her that if she would like, there’s a lovely hotel just 15 minutes away that my husband and I would be more than happy to pay for.”

However, it did not impress her mother-in-law, who told her husband to apologize when he returned home from work.
