Kleinplaas parkrun ready to celebrate half-century with a tutu-run

Kleinplaas parkrun is preparing for its 50th parkrun event on Saturday, 22 July 2023.

In true parkrun tradition, any parkrunner that has participated in 50 parkruns is entitled to wear a red 50 milestone T-shirt.

Although we celebrated our one year of existence under somewhat trying circumstances – not of our own doing – in April 2023, we are now concentrating on the significant celebration of our 50th parkrun.

The always merry band of volunteers at Kleinplaas parkrun.

There might not be a band or champagne, but it is a personal and proud achievement for event directors Carlo Wright and Jimmy Verster with their merry band of volunteers, and believe me, they are a merry bunch.

So, why not join those who have kept the spirit of Kleinplaas parkrun going from strength to strength? You can take my word when I say we are getting stronger and stronger.

As a thank you, any parkrunner completing any milestone on our 50th event celebration day may enjoy a cup of coffee for free with our compliments.

Remember, this day is also a tutu run, so please come and enjoy the early winter morning with us. Bear in mind that there is no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing!

Contact the event directors, Carlo Wright at 076 065 9605 or Jimmy Verster at 073 633 5764 for more information about Kleinplaas parkrun.
