Vuselela students take to the streets over NSFAS

Students at Vuselela TVET College started protesting around 08:00 this morning.

The students state that this protest is a follow-up on the protest they held in May of this year. The protest is in regards to NSFAS bursaries that have not been paid out since January.

“We don’t have Wi-Fi, our hostels are falling apart. My friend couldn’t eat last night. The college must give us our money. We won’t give up,” one student stated.

The protest is peaceful and police is on the scene to monitor the situation.
