The J.B. Marks Municipality notifies residents of Ventersdorp and adjacent villages, farming communities, and suburbs of a power outage scheduled for Thursday, 14 December from 06:00-18:00.

This is due to technical work that needs to be completed.

“Officials from the Electrical Section will swap out the antiquated medium voltage breakers in the Ventersdorp Substation. The Substation’s dependability and efficacy will be improved by doing this,” explained J.B. Marks Municipality spokesperson, Jeanette Tshite.

“In light of the potential difficulties that the outage may have caused to those who would be affected, the Municipality would like to take this opportunity to apologize.”
