Jericho police seek community assistance in locating missing elderly man

Jericho Police issue a plea to the community for assistance in locating 73-year-old Makitla Phillimon Mohale, missing since 8 June 2024.

The Jericho police are appealing to the community for assistance in locating 73-year-old Makitla Phillimon Mohale, a resident of Lethabong Section, Maboloka village, near Brits.

Mr. Mohale was last seen on Saturday, 8 June 2024, at approximately 12:15 PM while attending a funeral at Legonyane village, close to Jericho. Despite efforts to locate him in the areas of Maboloka and Legonyane, he has not been found. At the time of his disappearance, Mr. Mohale was wearing a green trouser, grey jacket, blue beanie, and black formal shoes. He is described as average in height with a skinny built body and brown skin complexion.

The Investigating Officer, Detective S’busiso Tshabalala of Jericho Detectives, urges anyone with information regarding Mr. Mohale’s whereabouts to come forward. They can reach Detective Tshabalala at 079 6934 191 or contact their nearest police station. Anonymous tip-offs can also be communicated via the MySAPS App on a smartphone or by calling Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
