Paving works underway at intersection
Residents are asked to exercise patience when driving through Jeppe and Louis Le Grange Roads.
Road rehabilitation and paving activities have commenced on Monday, June 30, at the intersection of Louis Le Grange and Jeppe Roads.
Jeanette Tshite, Municipal spokesperson, says this vital infrastructure enhancement aims to bolster road safety, improve traffic flow, and provide a safer driving experience for all users in the vicinity.
“The project encompasses road surface rehabilitation and the installation of interlocking paving at the affected intersection. The project is set to be completed by Friday, July 4, provided there are no unexpected weather-related delays.”
“We strongly encourage motorists and pedestrians to exercise caution while navigating around the construction area, adhering to all traffic control signs and directives. Residents are asked to exercise patience when driving through Jeppe and Louis Le Grange Roads while the rebuilding process is underway. When driving on the specific roads, they should permit Officials to steer them. The Municipality sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates the public’s cooperation as we work towards improving our roads,” she concludes.
