Prepaid electricity system is offline

The JB Marks Local Municipality states that this is due to an ongoing technical problem with the Utilities System.

Residents are currently experiencing difficulty with electricity vouchers purchases for their prepaid electricity meters.

The JB Marks Local Municipality states that this is due to an ongoing technical problem with the Utilities System (the Municipality’s Prepaid Electricity Vendor). Due to this system being offline, electricity voucher purchases are currently unavailable.

“The Utilities Service Provider is actively addressing the issue to ensure services are restored as quickly as possible. Further updates will be provided once the system is fully operational. The Municipality regrets any inconvenience caused by this technical failure,” stated municipal spokesperson, Jeanette Tshite.
