Two accidents at Nelson Mandela bridge on N12

The wet weather has caused two accidents in the space of 24 hours on this bridge.

The rainy weather in Potchefstroom has caused two accidents to occur in the past 24 hours on the Nelson Mandela bridge on the N12 in the direction of Klerksdorp.

The first accident occurred yesterday evening (Sunday, March 22) where multiple vehicles were involved. Injuries were reported on the scene. The seriousness of the injuries has not yet been confirmed.

The second accident occurred this morning just before noon, when the driver of a bakkie drove off the bridge. It is believed that the drivers lost control of the vehicle before veering off the road. All authorities were on scene to attend to the driver who is believed to have sustained injuries.
