Water supply affected due to flooding at pump station

Numerous areas are affected due to the non-operation of the pump station.

Persistent rainfall over the past few hours has caused flooding at the Ventersdorp Road Pump Station.

The JB Marks Local Municipality notifies residents that municipal teams are currently on site together with the contractor to assess the extent of the damage and to determine both immediate and long-term remedial measures.

As a result, the pump station is currently not operational, and water supply to affected areas will be impacted.

Affected areas include:

  • Witrand Hospital
  • Kanonierspark
  • SANDF
  • Dassierand
  • Promosa
  • Mohadin
  • All Ikageng Extensions
  • Eersterantjies Reservoirs

“The Municipality sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience caused and will provide updates as more information becomes available,” stated municipal spokesperson, Jeanette Tshite.
