Traffic control measures implemented on Sooliman Street due to upgrades

Motorists and residents will need to prepare for temporary traffic disruptions on Sooliman Street from Monday, June 1 until June 23, as the JB Marks Local Municipality upgrades the Mohadin-Poortjie Sewer Lin

According to JB Marks Municipality spokesperson, Jeanette Tshite, one lane of Sooliman Street will remain open to traffic during construction hours while contractors install a new sewer pipeline adjacent to the roadway.

The project is scheduled to continue until June 23, with construction taking place daily between 09:00 and 17:00. One half of the road will be open to road users during the construction process.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution, adhere to all temporary traffic management measures, and
allow for possible delays during the construction period.

“The JB Marks Local Municipality apologises for any inconvenience caused and sincerely appreciates
the patience, understanding, and cooperation of residents, businesses, and road users while these
essential infrastructure improvements are being carried out,” stated Tshite.
